This webinar will focus on two areas of change in the air regulatory landscape in New England:  The many recent and proposed changes in federal air programs, regulations and policies under the Trump 2.0 administration, and the impact of recent and potential future “bump-ups” in the ozone non-attainment status for significant parts of Connecticut.

🎙️ Featured Speakers:

Brian Freeman, Esq., Robinson+Cole
Brian will guide you through the federal-level changes, highlighting those of most significance for New England states, looking ahead to expected further rollbacks and initiatives, and flagging areas of potential conflict among federal, state and/or private-sector efforts. Amid an unprecedented pace of change, this review will convert the maelstrom into a map.

Jaimeson Sinclair, Division Director, Air Engineering at Connecticut DEEP
Jaimeson will discuss permitting and other regulatory fall-out for stationary sources from the late-2023 re-designation that “bumped up” significant additional portions of the state from “serious” to “severe” ozone nonattainment under the Clean Air Act. With the prospects of a similar “bump-up” in coming years for the rest of the state, this discussion will have both retrospective and prospective value.
